A Home Theater

My husband and I have been tossing around the idea of having a home theater. We have this one huge room that we just use to lounging around in right now. We have a big screen tv in there, but we could use something much bigger. A friend of mine has a home theater and we both really enjoy going over to her house and using her room.

My husband told me I should start looking into how much it is going to cost us to convert this room. He said to start with the home theater seating first since that is the most important addition. I know he is right, and I am hoping for a good find and some really good deals on home theater chairs. We haven't told my daughter or step-son about the idea yet. Mainly because we don't want to get their hopes up. Another reason is because we want to set this room up the way we want it instead of input from a couple of teenagers. I'm sure whatever we decide and do, they will love the fact that we just have a home theater.

I'm trying to not get too excited, but then again, I am bound and determined to find something we can afford. It would be so nice to have this, especially on the weekends when there is nothing to do in the small town we live in.

Today I wanted to capture a few precious moments around the house. I love being able to do this and have always had camera and camcorders as a hobby of mine. I love to sit around years later and look through old scrapbooks and old videos and think about the old times. My Diet

I wanted to report in about my diet and how it has been working for me. Thanks to the diet pill I had been taking, I am almost at my goal weight. We had scheduled a cruise that will be coming up in a few months and I am proud to say I will be able to wear my clothes with comfort. This is so great and something I have been having issues with for several months. You just don't understand how hard I have tried to lose a few pounds. Needless to say, I have finally come to the terms that I can do whatever it takes to make it just another couple of pounds.

Got a Gift

After some long thought, I finally decided on a baby gift for my cousin's shower. I looked at many different items, but decided on the cutest little baby car seat that I have seen in a long time. She is just going to love it.

Of course I didn't stop with just the seat, I had to find a few other things. Mostly it was baby clothes and a couple of larger sizes so she would be able to use once the baby gets a little older. I know from experience, you end up with tons of infant size clothes. Many times you don't have the amount of time needed to return them for other items. This is what brought me to the decision to buy some larger sizes. Everyone knows the baby will eventually grow into them and that is when you will need those. Now I can't wait til the shower, this is going to be so exciting.

Helping with Wedding Invitations

One of my best friends is going to be having a daughter get married in October, so tomorrow we are going shopping for wedding invitations. I am so excited to be included in helping pick out her invitations. It brings back old memories of picking out my own. I feel it is very important to find just the right invitation, so I hoping I do a good job with my opinions I have to offer her. I'll let you know how it goes.

A Baby Shower

I am having to search around for the perfect baby shower gift once again. I love baby showers and always try to find just the perfect gift. This time I am looking at getting my cousin a Baby Carrier. I know she would love this, since this is her first child.

Many times it is hard to find a gift that the mother-to-be might not already have, especially if it is not their first child. I won't have this problem with this baby shower since it is the first baby. I love seeing a new mother with all of her gifts. It is priceless.

I was also tossing around the idea of adding a couple pieces of infant clothing to my gift. A new mommy can't get enough clothes. I know when my daughter was born, I had tons of clothes, but believe it or not. She wore all of them. I constantly changed her outfit to something new for every place we went. It was also changed if we went to two different places in one day. It's so much fun dressing up your newborn baby. Now, I'm off to search around online for what I can buy.

Tired to Getting Hot at Night

I am so tired of having Night Sweats. It has been going on for months now and I have had just about all I can take. A friend of mine who has Menopause Night Sweats told me about this wonderful product she just bought a couple of weeks ago. It's called the Bedfan. She declares there is nothing else like it and now her hot nights are over.

I have decided I am going to purchase one for my Sweating at Night. It is bound to help better than anything I am doing right now. Getting so hot at night not only makes me sleepy in the morning, but it causes my body to feel tired all the time. We recently started searching around for different Myrtle Beach Accomodations. I know, we are always going on a trip, but it isn't always for pleasure. The majority of the time it is for business, so in my books, that doesn't count. Don't get me wrong, I love to travel, but when we have to travel on a business trip then we rarely get to enjoy anytime in the city we are staying. This time it is going to be a little different. We have one full day of nothing on our agenda.

Try My Favorite Search Engine

I have been using a particular search engine for some time now. I have really grown to like it more than many I have tried. It is called Local.com. I not only use it to find the hours or contact information for a business, but I also look up different local restaurants when I am out of town.

If you're a big fan of the local yellowpages, and you use them as often as I do then you will love their local search on Local.com. Just the other day when I travelled to Birmingham for my Rheumatology appointment, I was looking for a particular store and had to check out the info on Local.com in order to find the directions. This search engine has saved me many hours of being lost and wondering which way to turn. If you've never tried it, then you're definitely missing out on something great.

Lighting for my Family Room

We have had an issue with the lighting in our family room for a long time now. My husband is always complaining about not being able to read in there because of not enough light. I am so tired of hearing about it, so I plan to make a purchase this week to remedy the problem. I love the Alessi design, so this will give me the perfect excuse to buying it. I truly enjoy buying new things for my house, and even though this is something I am needing, it still excites me because it is new. Remodeling is my second nature, so every opportunity I get then I definitely take advantage of it. I don't even mind if my husband thinks it is his idea. Who cares? As long as I am getting something new. Now all I can hope for is he finds another room that he don't like the lighting in. Maybe I should tell him to look around the house since I will be placing an order anyway. He might actually decide some other rooms need new lighting. It will be worth a try. That's how I usually get him cornered into buying something else and poor thing, he doesn't even know it.

Shopping for Insurance

I am in the process of trying to help my friends shop around for some affordable life insurance. They came to visit with us last night and we got on the topic of insurance and how important it is for everyone to have it. I totally agree with them. After our conversation they had ask me to look into for them. They know I am on the computer all the time and thought I might have better luck finding something to suit them.

Finding inexpensive life insurance can be a challenge. I don't mind helping them at all because I know it is something that is very important to them. I also know they would help me if it was something I asked them to do. I just hope I find exactly what they are looking for and can afford. They are on a limited budget, so it is going to be a challenge I am sure.

Looking for Some New Clothes

I have been looking at buying some new clothes for a cruise we will be going on in a few months. I need to find some cheap dresses because nothing is worse than spending tons of money on something you will wear just a couple of times. I wouldn't mind finding a couple of cheap t-shirts as well.

Anyway, while I was shopping around, I found these lovely cardigans that I know my mother would love. I am thinking about buying one and keeping it until her birthday. I know she would just adore it. Nothing beats running across a great fashion site. But more importantly, nothing beats finding a great deal. It might not be a bad idea to see what I can find everyone on my list something for Christmas. I am a firm believer in shopping early and not having to run around at the last minute trying to find a bargain.

My Daughter and Her Friends

My daughter and a couple of her friends are planning on taking a trip to some Myrtle Beach Resort in the next upcoming month. Of course, with me being the mom that I am, she wants me to search for a place for them to stay. I have tried to explain that it is extremely hard when trying to find some at the last minute.

I started looking around this morning as some different Myrtle Beach Hotels, but so far I am coming up with only one Myrtle Beach Resort that has a vacancy for the week she and her friends want to go. Maybe after this issue, she will learn you need to plan for things in advance. Not everything is done like teenagers would like for them to be done. I have found that just about all teenagers make their plans last minute. I sure hope she grows out of that soon.

Anyone ever tried a fat burner? I have been considering trying out atro phex. It is suppose to be a great diet pill that burns fat fast. That is what I truly need in order to shed these last ten pounds. I plan on going on a cruise soon, and the last thing I want to worry about is whether or not my bathing suit will fit. My Daughter Loves the Piano

My daughter has taken piano lessons a couple of time throughout her life, but she actually has a talent for playing mostly by ear. She knows some notes and timing, but I would really like to start looking for her some piano sheet music in order to help her. I have researched a couple of placing, but when she gets home today, I should probably ask her what type of music she likes playing the best. I am going to order her some, but feel like I should probably order what she is most interested in to begin with. Anyone have any recommendations?

Shopping for My Uncle

I always love to go shopping for my Uncle at his birthday or Christmas time. He has several hobbies and is actually fairly easy to buy for. This year for his birthday I already know what I am going to look into buying. Some Motorcycle Rain Gear. He loves riding his motorcycle to work and just the other day he was at work and about ten minutes before he left it started to rain. There wasn't any choice other than riding home in the rain. At that moment, I knew what I wanted to get him. Not only will he love the Motorcycle Rainsuit, because he loves Motorcycles, but I will also feel as if I have bought him something he can truly use.

I also thought of something else I should do. I might look at the Leather Vests since I will be ordering anyway. Then I can put it up for him as a Christmas gift. I like to shop early, so that at Christmas time I am not running around trying to figure out what to buy everyone since what I want to purchase is already sold out or on back order. It just gives me that wonderful peace of mind.

Already Shopping for Another Ride

It amazes me how teenagers are always wanting a new vehicle. It seems like only yesterday my daughter got her nissan maxima. She loved it and to tell you the truth, she still likes it, but she has been wanting some thing a little different. The first thing she mentioned when she got home from her college classes the other day was how her best friend just got a new chevy camaro. I immediately told her she would have to check on the insurance and how much a vehicle like that would cost her.

Sometime teenagers just don't understand. It's almost like they have one track mind. They want something and then worry about the consequences later. Just like the day she come home asking for a toyota tundra and I explained that she would change her mind from a truck in less than a week. It never crossed her mind that she wouldn't be able to haul all her friends around once she had a truck. Would you believe after I brought up that fact then she started to talk about mini vans. See what I mean? Kids just don't think. I guess that is what us parents are here for. It is a wonder that she has a car at all, and I have explained to her how thankful she should be that we do provide her with transportation. Many teenagers have to fend for themselves and get back and forth to classes the best way they can. I know she really is thankful, but sometimes it takes a little reminding.

Excited About the Trade Show

A friend of mine is going to be doing a couple of different Trade Shows this summer and has asked me to help. I am incharge of helping with the Trade Show Displays and even though that makes me a little nervous, I am still excited to help. I know the key is to make our Trade Show Booths appealing, but since I have never actually been over something like this then I need all the help I can get. I plan on spending the next couple of days researching everything possible to make this a success for her.

Another thing I would like to investigate for her is Promotional Products. She informed me that it was something she had never tried at her shows. I think it would be an excellent idea, so she said if I would research it then we could definitely give it a try. The Convention Centers we will be attending are extremely huge, so I feel these shows are really going to be a great profit maker. Now if I can find all the info I need, we will be set.

My Stepson and His Skin Problems

My Nephews Hobby

My nephew has been interested in Mixed Martial Arts Fighters for quite some time now. I've always thought it was great to have a hobby to be interested in and keep a person entertained. I know everyone has a hobby or likes something different, but I'm proud to see my nephew involved in something that keeps him off the streets and in with the wrong crowd.

Just the other day he was talking to me about how he enjoyed watching MMA Fighters. I know some people may find this strange, but I find it very interesting. He told me a lot of things I didn't know about martial arts. It was actually very nice learning about something I didn't have a clue about. Like I said, he has been involved in this for many years and he is actually pretty good at it himself. I plan on trying to find something that deals with this to buy him for his birthday. I think he would get more use out of a gift for a hobby he enjoys rather than buying him some clothes that he might never wear. Don't you agree?

Proud of My Nephew

I have one of the smartest nephews in the world, or at least to me he is. I have known this since he was a small child, but recently I have been trying to encourage him and try to make him acknowledge just how smart he really is at what he does. A few year ago, he took a special interest in software development and ever since then he has done nothing except excel. I want to share how much I really think he has come in the world. Looking to Curb My Appetite

I have been looking around at a appetite suppressant to help me out while I am trying to diet. Most of you know how I am trying to lose that last few pounds, and up until this point it was going great. Then about a month ago the pounds stopped dropping off. I know I have been eating more than I should, but I get so hungry at times that all I can think about is nibbling on something. Anniversary Coming Soon

My friend was in a bind and trying to figure out what to get her husband for their anniversary. Of course, she called me for help. We talked about how it is sometimes hard buying for a man. They always have what they want and your clueless when it comes to finding something for a surprise. I told her I happen to be online looking at flags for my husband. He really likes having a flag hanging from the house and a terrible storm damaged ours while we were out of town.

Anyway, I mentioned to her while I was looking for the flags for my husband, I had noticed some really good deals on a wood humidor. Her husband loves his cigars, and I think this would be a wonderful gift for him. What made it look like an extra special gift is she could have it personalized and get it in cherry wood to match the other wood furniture she has in her house. We always have to think of ourselves sometimes too, and nothing is worse than having tons of mismatched wood.

By the time I finished talking with her on the phone, she had already decided on the wood humidor. I felt really good about being able to help her because she has helped me in so many ways over the past years. I know it might have just been a simple way to help out a friend, but that's what friends are for. Now when it gets closer to my anniversary, she can see what kind of idea she can come up with for my husband, or better yet, maybe I will order him a wood humidor while it is fresh on my mind. I am thinking of buying a new cell phone. Actually, I haven't made up my mind if I am going to buy a new one or a used one. I do know that if I purchase a used one then I will have to remember to make sure it is an unlocked phone. This is extremely important to be able to activate it with your existing cell phone service. My Closet Full of Shoes

My husband is always complaining about my closet and how it is full of shoes. I can't help it. I love shoes. I know most women like shoes, but I truly have an obsession with this article of clothing. One of my pet peeves is to have shoes that don't feel good on my feet. So, when I find a pair that is comfortable, then I just have to buy them.

Just the other day I was looking at my favorite online store for ladies shoes, called Jildor. I found a great pair of juicy couture flats that I am going to buy this weekend. I have been needing a flat pair to wear with this particular dress I own, and now I found them. Of course, my husband thinks I should just wear the steve madden flats I own, be he don't understand they don't go with that outfit. Little does he know that I am thinking about buying some other shoes, called ugg. But what he don't know won't hurt him.

Looking Into Some Exercise Equipment

Here lately I have been thinking about my dieting plan. I do believe in exercise and how important it is in the role of loosing weight. My only problem is I don't have the time to go to the gym or take long strolls down the road. Sometimes I may only have thirty free minutes to get some exercise. So, I have been considering another way I can stay healthy and fit.

I heard about Smooth Fitness. They have some really nice equipment that would work for what I need. It was be so convenient to walk to my extra bedroom just to get on a treadmill or exercise bike right before taking a shower and getting to work. I am going to think about this and will let you know which piece of equipment I decide to buy, but I definitely think this is the way to go.
