Buying a New Cell Phone

I am thinking of buying a new cell phone. Actually, I haven't made up my mind if I am going to buy a new one or a used one. I do know that if I purchase a used one then I will have to remember to make sure it is an unlocked phone. This is extremely important to be able to activate it with your existing cell phone service. Issues such as these should be remembered when shopping around.
