Looking for a New Rug

Tomorrow I plan on trying to look for a new rugs for my house. This is something I have been putting off for months. I have shopped, but just not decided up to this point. The two rooms that need a rug the most are my living room and family room. I want something that is of high quality and going to last for a long time, although I don't want to pay a whole lot for them if I can keep from it. I know, I'm asking for a miracle, but actually I have been shopping around and found some really cheap rugs. Now I just need to make a decision on which ones I like the best.

Area rugs have always been the hardest for me to decide what to buy. I know they are the type of rugs that are seen more so than a rug that is places under a table or at a door. I want something that matches in color, yet has a great design in it. One of the problems I have going to have in my family room is not having really any color that is a dominant one. So, I suppose my first job will be deciding what color I am going to get for my curtains and go from there. My husband seems to always want something sort of plain, but not me. I know there is going to be some disagreement, so I am thinking about just picking out which ones I like the best and let him decide between those. Maybe I will even let my daughter voice her opinion and then we can vote. She seems to have more my taste, so that will work to my advantage. Wish me luck.
