Prom is Right Around the Corner

One of the most fun things about prom for a girl is shopping for prom dresses. This year my niece will be going to senior prom at her school. Since my daughter has went to several proms, she has invited us to help her shop. I think it's always a good thing to have several opinions when shopping for your dress anyway. Plus, I love to look at evening gowns.

I started investigating to see what I could find online and ran across some really nice looking prom dresses at great deals. Some unique dresses this year appear to be print dresses. I'm not sure if she would like them or not, but I am definitely going to show them to her. This is going to be a really good deal for me since I have to help with a wedding this summer. I will be able to keep my eyes open for some bridesmaid dresses as well.

A Fed Ex Plane Crash

This morning a FedEx plane crashed in Lubbock, Texas. Apparently, it caught on fire after swaying off of the runway. There were 2 crew members that walked away from the crash. At the present time, they believe weather was not a cause of the accident. It is always scarey to hear about a plane going down and seems you hear about it more now than ever before. I am just thankful the crew members were okay. However, if you have products on that plane, then chances are your not getting it.

Suzuki Motorcycles

Have you noticed the new 2009 Suzuki Motorcycles? My nephew just got a brand new Sizuki Motorcross Motorcycle for Christmas, and I went with his mom to pick it out. They have some really cool bikes. Especially the 2009 Suzuki Motorcycles. To me, they are more unique than the other motorcyles you see.

My husband has thrown around the idea of getting a V-Strom for a year, but just hasn't found the time to really shop and figure out which model he would want. We only want it for pleasure trips, so purchasing one is something not on our priority list. Although, if gas prices tend to shoot back up in the near future, then we may be more in a hurry. If you haven't check these bikes out then you should. It is amazing to see the new 2009 Suzuki Motorcycles.

I have been working on a new blog, as always, and I seem to be having a hard time finding templates I like. Anyone with ideas out there? I also would like to find some different sites with backgrounds. Any help would be greatly appreciated. As for the templates, I prefer ones with at least 3 columns.

GPS Tracking Your Teenager

There has been a big controversy about GPS Tracking your teenager. I, myself, feel that sometimes it may be necessary. At other times, it is an invasion of privacy. If you have a teenager you are suspecting illegal or any other type of situation that could be harmful, then I would track them. I feel it is a parent's right to monitor their children, and if more were monitored then this world would be a better and safer place.

I had a teenage stepson that needed to have GPS Tracking to see what kind of situation he was involved in a while back. Turns out it was something he had been involved in for quite a while ,and we were totally unaware of it. If it had not been for GPS Tracking, we would have not been able to save him. It was a life or death situation, and now that he is a little older, he is thankful he was tracked and rescued from his involvements.

The Perfect Las Vegas Vacation!

I honestly don't believe that any one person loves the casinos as much as I do. It's not that I'm a huge gambler, but I do love the thrill and sound of slot machines. My husband on the other hand would rather play cards, golf or see the shows, but that's not everything a casino is about. When I go to a casino then one of my concerns and priorities is the hotel or resort I am visiting. I want it to be as nice and glamorous as the casino itself. That is the very reason why I always choose this one particular Las Vegas hotel for our vacation in Nevada. It's called Wynn Las Vegas. It is honestly a five star diamond resort with all the bells and whistles you could ever want. When I am there then I feel like a queen in her castle. They have a spa and salon, as well as some of the best entertainment in the world. Now there is something else that you can't forget about, and that is the food. It is unbelievable. There is nothing better than a top chef preparing your meals. This place has it all and there is really no point in ever leaving the resort for anything else. I know the last time we went for a week, I never left the premises. I even did my shopping at the Wynn Esplanade, which has tons of top designer stores. I just recently learned you can create vacation packages right online for yourself. They have many different ways you can customize your stay. This is definitely what I will be doing for us this spring when we go back for our anniversary. It is unreal what you get out of Wynn Las Vegas. Of all the Las Vegas Hotels, this should be your number one choice. It is mine every time!

Hudson River Plane Crasg

I have been on the computer working all day and haven't paid much attention to any of the news sites that were out. Apparently, there was a plane crash today in the Hudson River. It was US Airways Flight 1549 at the LaGuardia Airport in New York. There was 155 passengers and crew on board. The airplane had to make a landing in the water shortly after takeoff from New York bound for Charlotte, N.C. Thankfully there were not serious injuries. The cause of this seems to be from the plane flying into some birds and getting them sucked into the engine. In this case it can cause the engine to stop. How crazy is that? I've never heard of such. It will sure make me think twice when flying again.

Driver Software

Sometimes drivers are hard to come by. I recently was going to network my laptop to the main printer in the house. Of course, the main printer is installed on the desktop computer that we own. I thought I had everything done the way it was suppose to be, but it turned out that the laptop needed the hp drivers installed on it. I began my search for the driver software and luckily found it at a place called DriverSoftware.com. How easy is that to remember?

Sometimes things can be so easy if you only know where to find them. Once I finished getting my printer set up on my laptop, then I immediately went to the site to see if they had dell drivers. Just as I suspected, they did. Now I will be able to help my mom do the same thing at her house. I'm actually getting pretty good at this. Macy's Store Closing

This morning there was an announcement that Macy's will have 11 stores closing. It is no surprise that store sales have fallen during this economic crisis. The closest one to me that will be closing is in Nashville, TN. But if you would like to see a list of other closings, you can view it on The Wall Street Journal Website. There is also an announcement letting everyone know that their final sales will begin within the next week.

Shopping for a Bicycle

One of my best friends has a new resolution this year to exercise more. She has complained in the past about how she puts this off, simply because she doesn't enjoy any part of it. Recently, she decided to look at purchasing a new Bicycle to help her in this journey. One of the main reasons for this is because she use to enjoy riding a bicycle and feels this will help her on her exercise mission.

I have decided to help her shop for a new bicycle. We sat down at the computer to look for different types. The first one that caught her eye was the brand Apollo. She spotted one of the Ladies bikes, which is called the Apollo CX.10. It is a 15" Town and Trail Bike. It also can be purchased in an 18"frame as well. One of the greatest advantages is the way it can be handled on the road instead of just a normal mountain bike.

I am extremely excited for her and the ambition she has to start this exercise routine. I am highly considering something in this nature. I suppose to key to it is finding what you enjoy and working with that thrill to benefit you.

A New Week Begins

This is officially my first week back at work after the holidays. I have worked some, but my full time didn't start until today. I have all my goals listed, as well as posted on a bulletin board in front of me at my desk. Working hard is a key factor in meeting these goals this year.
