Almost Garden Time

My husband and I are officially planting a garden this year. We planted a small little area last year that consisted of a few rows of corn. Then we also had a small bed, that almost looked like a flower bed, that consisted of a couple tomato, cucumber and cantaloupe plants. But this year we are going all out. My husband has bought his first tractor, and we are all set. I'm not sure exactly what size this spot we have for a garden actually is, but it's huge. Or at least to me it is. I had always said I didn't care anything about maintaining a garden, but it's sort of neat to watch the things you've planted turn into something you can eat. Plus, my husband is so excited about it that I would never let him down by not helping with a garden.

Found a Great Deal

This morning I did a little shopping to see what I could find on sale. I am so thankful I did, because at buy.com, I found a Brother P-Touch PT-1280 Thermal Label Printer for only $10.69. On top of that it was free shipping. You can't beat a deal like that! I have been needing a label printer for quite some time now and there's nothing better than getting one for a good deal. I am actually saving about $50 on this item. My husband will be thrilled, especially since he didn't think I really needed on to begin with. I can't even begin to tell you what all I have bought through this site, and even more important, how much I have saved myself. A Birthday Gift for My Daughter

You know I am always looking for a good sale? Well, this morning I ran across a Polaroid 10.0 MP Digital Camera for only $74.99! That is an awesome deal. I already have a 10.0 MP camera and love it. But now that I found this great deal, I'm going to order one for my daughter. She is constantly taking pictures and loves to edit and crop them. This just started about a year ago, but she is photo happy. I introduced her to digital scrapbooking and ever since she is addicted. I'm actually glad to see her with a hobby such as this. Most teenagers spend their time on the computer playing games and chatting, but the majority of the time she is working on photos. I am thankful for this and her interest in something useful. This camera will be a great gift for her, and I know she will love it and get lots of use out of it. I have been trying to think of the perfect birthday gift and now my worries are over. This is the best gift possible I could have found. If only I could find deals like this everyday!

This week my cousin is shopping for new furniture. Actually, it is discount furniture. I am so excited to see what kind she picks out. She and I have a lot of the similar taste, so it might just strike me on what I need to buy for my new family room. It has needed some new furniture for quite some time now. We keep putting off buying any because we are the only ones that use that room and see the furniture. But sometimes it gets depressing know that furniture is old and the room needs new life. So there could be a some new remodeling going on in there in the near future. You know me and my remodeling habits.

Cat Supplies

My husband and I have decided to start ordering our cat supplies online. It is not only convenient, but it also is a little cheaper than the Vet. We looked into some flea and ticket treatment, and we can get the same brand as we normally do from the Vet. We can also order other supplies as well. If you own a dog and have never looked into ordering, then it is definitely something you should do.

Are you ready for Valentine's Day? It's in a couple of days, so you better get to planning. We usually don't go all out. Most of the time, I get him a little gift and card and he gets me flowers and a card. Then we go out for a nice meal, which suits me just fine. But don't be prepared. There is nothing worse than forgetting your loved one on Valentine's Day!

Do any readers out there have a home alarm? We have been considering a new one and not quite sure which is the best. I have several family, and friends who have different brands and they all seem satisfied with the one they have. I guess my best bet is to do some online research and see what best fits out needs. In Search of a New Bed

I have went shopping on two different occasions with my sister in law for some novelty beds for my nephews. I didn't think it would be such a big deal, but it is unbelievable how many childrens beds there are out there to choose from. She wants something that both she and the kids will like. I don't blame her for that, but it's harder to come by than you think it would be. If she doesn't find something before next Saturday then we are going to hit a few more stores. I have also been searching online to give her some other options. Each day I fill her inbox with links of different types of kids beds. I'm sure that's the last think she wants to think about after coming home from a long days work. But, I figure I have the time so why not help her with a little research, right? Besides I really would like to get out of a full Saturday shopping around for someone else a bed. Do you blame me? It's just not my idea of a fun day, even though I would help you in any way that I could.

I Can't Find My Way Out

Today I went to visit a friend in the hospital. It was the funniest thing when I was leaving because apparently I had gotten on the wrong elevator. I wondered around the halls for a bit and did everything I could think to find some exit signs. There were none to be found. Finally, I swallowed my pride and ask a nurse which way to go. Have you ever been embarrassed of being lost? It was quite embarrassing, but I made it out.

Recycled Boxes

Have you ever been in dire need of moving boxes? We have been trying to clear out one of the houses we own and have had the worse time trying to locate Moving Supplies and boxes. I'm not sure if we weren't looking for them in the proper locations, but luckily I have a friend who has located us some recycled boxes. Actually, I feel better about using the recycled ones anyway. It makes me feel like I am doing something good. There is nothing wrong at all with recycled boxes and you can get them in any size just like new boxes. They are just as good as the new ones, not to mention much cheaper. However, my advice to you is never wait until the last minute to locate boxes for a major move. It has taught us a valuable lesson for future plans, but the biggest lesson of all is the types of boxes we will use from now on. Another thing to remember, if you have moved recently then don't forget you can sell your used boxes. That's what recycling is all about, to better help the earth. We should always recycle when possible.

The Rain is Coming

I know I shouldn't complain since we have had a few days of some really nice warm weather. But in a way that just teases us and makes us wish it would stay around. The rain is moving in tonight and tomorrow we are suppose to have some major storms. However, on the other hand, the rain doesn't bother me too bad since I do have to stay in tomorrow and work. I guess it would be better working indoors than to be stuck in here while it's nice and pretty outside, right?

Online Trading Is So Much Easier

Have you ever thought about online trading? I have been giving it a lot of thought lately. A friend of mine has been testing the waters for a month or so, and she has highly recommended that I give it a try. She loves having an online broker because it make the process so much easier.

I know this doesn't happen with every ebay customer and seller, but it is something that irritates me to no end. My daughter was in need of a rolling back pack and I went onto ebay to find one that would work for her. She needed one large enough to hold her college book, yet strong enough to last. I research and made sure I was getting exactly what she needed. Now once it arrives it is nothing like the description said it would be. It is nowhere near the size it was stated online, and to be honest, it looks as if it would fall apart after one use. I could have went to Wal-mart and purchased something of better quality that this backpack. If you are like me and you sell items on ebay. Try to be honest about the product your selling. In the long run, it would only help you. Bringing more clients back is worth a lot.

Valentine's Day is Right Around the Corner

For all of you guys who are planning on popping the question this Valentine's Day, the have you check into engagement rings. That's the most important part to a proposal. Fax Decisions

Recently I was in the middle of receiving a fax from a very important company and guess what happens? My Ink runs out! What could be any worse? It was only days before that when I was receiving another fax and my paper jams. I am so tired and frustrated with fax machines that I had to change to something else. I decided for the time being to go with efax. I'm not really sure if I am going to like the service or not, but I had to give something else a try. If you use a fax service and really like them, then I would be willing to hear more about it.

Shirt Shopping

I am going to have to put on my "to do" list some new shirts for my husband. It seems everytime I turn around he is needing some new shirts. He loves the shirts I purchased him this last time from Popular Polos. They seemed to have held us really well. This is going to work out really well for me since I am thinking about buying my husband some wholesale golf shirts. Are You Moving?

I have some friends who are in the process of relocating because of their job. They were having a hard time locating a moving company. I got online and started trying to find more info to help them out. I didn't realize find moving companies was such a job. It's not the fact of finding them, but it's the issue of whether or not they meet your expectations and can do the job at the time you need them. One of the most important factors with my friends changing locations is they were in need of International Movers. That can be more of a challenge to find. However, I did end up finding exactly what they were looking for and now I feel so much better knowing I have helped them out in one small way. It is going to be a sad time when they actually leave, but I know it is something they have to do, and it is for the best in their life right now. In today's time, you have to go where your job leads you. It's not a matter of where you really want to live. It's a issue of being able to provide for your family.

Decisions Decisions

I have been trying to decide on a gift for my sister-in-laws birthday. She is extremely hard to buy for since she has everything in the world. Problem is, she always find the neatest and usual items for me. This past birthday, she bought me a painting that was personalized with our last name on it. It was the coolest gift I had ever seen. I should take a photo and post it on here. It has two mail boxes in the painting, one of which has my maiden name and the other my married name. I don't know where she comes up with these ideas and finds such cool stuff. But if anyone out there has any ideas of cool and unique gifts, I would appreciate your thoughts.

Remodeling Again!

It seems we are constantly remodeling around the house. You would think since we flip houses, we would get tired of remodeling. Actually, it's just the opposite. We see such neat things that we put into some of these houses we work on and then end up wanted it for our own home. This past weekend we shopped around for Bathroom Vanities and finally made a decision on one we both liked. But when it came to cabinet hardware, we just couldn't agree on anything. I like one style and he like another, but I guess I can't have it all my way. However, I am going to be more picky and demanding on the Decorative Wood we end up buying. At Bella Living Home Decor, I found some that I really like. I haven't showed it to my hubby yet, simply because I'm not sure if he will agree. I am thinking he will lean more toward the Maple, and the one I like is Cherry. Any good ideas on how to approach him with my likes and dislikes? I need to get my case built up, so when I present it to him then he will have no choice but to go with the one I want.

Found a Friend From Years Ago

Have you ever had a friend that you loss contact with? I'm sure most of you have. In my case, it was a friend that I went to highschool with and was really close too. I'm not even sure why we fell apart, and it's not important now. More than likely, it was some silly drama issue. Anyway, we recently found each other on Facebook. She lives nearby and we have been conversing through email. Now we plan on getting together to catch up on old times. We both have children around the same age, and actually it sounds like a lot of our daily lives are very similar. This is going to be so much fun to meet up again, and I am hoping to rebuild that friendship we once had. If you have someone like this, then you should check out Facebook. Cold Windy Day

The wind here is unbelievable today, and I have heard it is because of a storm blowing in. This makes me worry a little since our house is surrounded by large trees. Not to mention, some of these trees could really use trimming. Some of them even look like they are completely dead. We have thought many time how we need to get them taken care of, but like usual we have procrastinated. Now I face the issue of watching a tree fall on the house!
