Excercise is on the Agenda

>> Sunday, December 27, 2009

I have made a commitment to myself for the beginning of the new year. I plan on getting more exercise. My only problem has been up to this point is finding the time to fit in exercise in my daily and hectic work life. I have been investigating ellipticals. I plan on making a purchase in the next couple of days. I truly mean business this time. I feel like if I had my own exercise equipment right in my office then I would use it and not have an excuse, what do you think?

I Hate Being Cold

>> Saturday, December 26, 2009

Nothing is worse, especially for someone like me who has Rheumatoid arthritis, than being cold. I know when I am out and about running errands I expect to be cold in the winter. However, when I am sitting on my couch watching the television or laying in the bed asleep then I should be able to stay warm. With this being said, I couldn't make it during this time of year without my electric blanket. My only problem is I need two of them. One for my bed and one for my couch. It sure would be much easier on me and a lot more convenient.

Lowering Our Bills

>> Thursday, December 24, 2009

My husband and I have decided that this coming new year we are going to try new methods to lowering our bills. We haven't actually got a full proof plan yet, but we do have some ideas of what we are going to try in the beginning. For example, we are going to shop around for the cheapest car insurance. Then we are going to take a look at our cell phone bill, as well as our satellite bill. Our New Years resolution is to save a certain amount of money by this time next year. Think we can do it?

Looking at Some Vacations

>> Saturday, December 12, 2009

I have been looking at some different vacation destinations and trying to decide on what trips we will be able to take this upcoming year. I usually start making plans at the beginning of the year so we can book them and get them fit into our schedule. This year we want to try out some different locations and I am thinking about something the whole family could enjoy, so I started searching for hotels playa del carmen. This is a place I've wanted to visit for quite a while and I'm going to see if I can make it happen this year.

My Husband's Shopping List

>> Friday, December 11, 2009

As many of you already know my husband enjoys flipping houses. It is really a second job to him this past year. He has two jobs and can't decide which one to let go. With the economic times the way they are, he is just keeping them both for a while. Anyway, with working two jobs, I have to help him out a lot on the flipping houses. The only part I don't like is when he sends me to shop for something I don't know anything about. Today he wanted me to look at some Kohler sinks and pick out one for this house he is working on. I picked out the one I liked and of course it wasn't what he wanted. I am going to have to tell him if he can't accept what I get when I go shopping, then don't send me.

Preparing for Test

>> Thursday, December 10, 2009

My daughter has always had this issue of being terrified of test. She will study for hours and still think she is going to fail. Therefore, we have been searching around for the best LSAT prep courses we could use. As it turns out, Knewton seems to have exactly what we are looking for. Not only that, but is affordable. One thing that really was a plus for me is they have live classes she can take right from home. I feel so much better knowing she will be dealing with experts rather than me trying to teach her what she needs to know to pass her test. This is going to give both of us so much peace of mind. Now we aren't near as stressed about her passing.
