Fall Wedding Ideas

Fall is the perfect time of year to plan an intimate wedding and reception. With the cool, crisp air and the beautiful colors that autumn brings, many couples choose this time of year to do their nuptials. Fall weddings can be stunning when set in places such as a vineyard or other venue that takes full advantage of the changing scenery. Rustic themed weddings such as those planned in old barns or century old churches can be breathtaking during this time of year as well. Here are some other ideas that brides and grooms can use to assure that their wedding is not soon forgotten.

Choose muted colors such as antique white with gold accents or warm reds, rich browns and deep greens to decorate with. These colors compliment the colors of the season and can bring an intimate and romantic feel to the wedding’s venue.

Fall is a perfect season to plan a late evening wedding. Filling the room with beautiful candlelight or luminaries will create a romantic ambiance while highlighting the crispness and beauty of the season.

Add a little whimsy to a Fall wedding reception by serving pumpkin pie or caramel apples. Turkey, pot roast and roasted chicken are all excellent choices as the main entrĂ©e to the reception’s menu. An appetizer of warm autumn harvest vegetable soup might be the perfect accompaniment to the meal and add to the warm and cozy feel of the reception. Instead of serving punch, why not serve hot apple cider or mulled wine?

If your dream wedding involves a small and intimate setting, a Fall wedding may be exactly what you are dreaming of.
